Habitat: Wax myrtle scrub/shrub zone along canal bank. Soil characteristics: Kenner Muck (KE)- very deep, very poorly drained, very slowly permable organic soils formed in herbaceous plant remains stratified with clayey alluvium. Associated plant species: Myrica cerifera, Sphagnum sp., Sagittaria lancifolia ssp. media, Pontederia cordata, Sagittaria latifolia, Triadenum walteri, Hydrocotyle umbellata, Hydrocotyle ranunculoides, Bacopa monnieri, Eupatorium capillifolium, Persicaria hydropiperoides, Cyperus virens, Salvinia minima, Solidago fistulosa, Rhynchospora microcephala, Rhynchospora caduca, Juncus marginatus, Thelypteris palustris var. pubescens, Woodwardia areolata, Decodon verticillatus. Common.
