Long and narrow, mostly emergent fen located west of the Raisin River. There are a few stand alone deciduous trees and shrubs and a few pockets of shrub-carr and decidous trees (birch, maple, sumac). Many streams present. Fen is well traveled with worn trails and several marked fence posts. Brush piles, old burn spots, and stumps mark an actively maintained fen. in northern half of fen, 30m from western border. Small sandy stream flows 4m to the west of quadrat. In an herbaceous meadow quadrat dominated by grasses, asters, and possibly Solidago. Some sort of Rubes shrubs (vine/brambly) interspersed, a few short trees/tall shrubs about every 50m2. Columbine along stream. One dead stump and one dead login quadrat.
Population - 3-4 individuals per m2, near sedges, and asters. Similar species possibly nearby, 1m away (east).
