Habitat: Rolling hills and plateaus, along roadside in wash where water stands after rain. Sandy-rocky soil. With Chamaesaracha, Machaeranthera, parthenium argentatum. Flowers large, fruits long. Chromosome number determined as 2n=38, John D. Bacon.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
