Alpine fellfield summit & ridge near summit on steeply tipped slabs with ca. 50% veg. cover. Associates include Phlox condensata, Eritrichum aretioides, Acomastylis rossii, Lidia obtusiloba, Festuca brachyphylla. Locally common in gravel & rock crevices. Lower member of Sangre de Cristo Form. (red arkose sandstone, conglomerate ss. siltstone & shale).
