Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. On tip of peninsula. Dominated by weedy graminoids including Phalaris arundinacea, Typha latifolia, and Carex stricta. Also include Pilea pumila, Lathyrus palustris, and Eutrochium maculatum. Ground moist.
