Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Amazingly thin sliver of prairie fen on east edge of lake. Only sliver of prairie fen on this side for 200m in either direction. Area dominated by Carex stricta. Other common species include Carex lasiocarpa, Thelypteris palustris, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Galium boreale, Solidago ohioensis, Eutrochium maculatum, and Solidago altissima. Ground moist and slightly spongy.
