Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Carex stricta dominated area just off Populus tremuloids peninsula. Adjacent to sedge meadow with more delicate structured graminoids (C. sterilis, and Eleocharis spp.), Dasiphora fruticosa, Cornus sericea, Solidago altissima, and S. patula common as well. Hummocky locally to more rolling topography nearby. Soil moist.
