Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Flooded shrub zone with Physocarpus opulifolius, Cornus sericea, Ribes hirtellum, Toxicodendron vernix, and Salix spp. Larix laricina also present. Carex lacustris, Thelypteris palustris, and Phalaris arundinacea prevalent herbaceous species.
