Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Typha latifolia, Cornus foemina, and C. sericea dominated area that, evidenced by lingering strips, was once a high quality fen. Common quality and other species include Dasiphora fruticosa, Eutrochium maculatum, Carex sterilis, Lemus repens, Pycnanthemum virginicum, Lobelia kalmii, and Symphyotrichum lanceolatum.
