Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In central-southern portion of prairie fen, 50m north of Jerry Buck's lawn, 5m west of 2m tributary. Area invaded by Typha angustifolia and Frangula alnus. Herbaceous vegetation dominated by Carex, Thelypteris palustris, and Asteraceae. Cornus and Salix saplings are also common every 1m2. Ground hummocky and moist to wet.
Population - Common, often reaching 1.5m tall. Many flowering or starting to produce fruits. 1-3 individuals every 4m2.
