Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Sedge meadow about 20m south of established tree stand/conifer line; Dasiphora fruticosa abundant. Frangula alnus well-established but not dominant; Solidago ohioensis prominent in area; many Eleocharis culms; ground moist but not inundated.
