Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Alternate point due to non-prairie fen. About 15m south of large conifer-covered hill; separated from upland by Frangula line; Dasiphora in area with Solidago spp. Hummocks raised with some erosion occurring around edges; many species growing on hummocks.
