Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Sedge meadow in middle of fen; heavily invaded by Agrostis gigantea; about 10m east of shrubs (Cornus spp.. Viburnum nudum); Common sedges include Carex lasiocarpa, C. stricta, and C. sartwellii; other common species include Eutrochium maculatum, Solidago altissima, Thelypteris palustris, Zizia aurea, and Doellingeria umbellata; ground very hummocky.
