25-acre southern mesic hardwood forest on relatively flat, generally low ground with kettle depressions and low areas holding water part of the year, but still on undulating morainal topography. This tract contains especially large trees: Quercus rubra (30-42 in. d.b.h.), Q. alba (22-26 in. d.b.h.), Acer saccharum (20-27 in. d.b.h.), & Prunus serotina (16-20 in. d.b.h.). Relatively low moist spot with Clematis virginiana, Galium concinnum, Prunus serotina, Sanguinaria canadensis, Smilax ecirrhata, S. hispida, Trillium grandiflorum, Ulmus rubra, etc.
