Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Rocky or grassy roadside bank at base of river bluff with thin woods of Quercus spp., Juglans nigra, Rhus typhina, the bank with a few prairie plants, Rhus glabra, Sporobolus asper, Xanthoxylum americanum, Verbascum thapsus and no. 22034 Tridens flavus (L.) Hitchc. (This species forming patches of many plants, the largest patch 8 m long, a few smaller ones scattered, all on steep bank on upper side of road; there is apparently a larger patch on the lower side of the road but mostly mowed off. This seems to be the only colony of Tridens flavus along Hwy VV between entrance to Nelson Dewey State Park and where Hwy VV turns NE out of the Mississippi River valley; it is the same colony collected Oct. 7, 1972 as Nee 5363.)
