Habitat: S of Alexandria. E side of Highway 27, just N (in view of) the 'Jct 824' sign. About a block N of the turnoff for the Campbell County Environmental Education Center. In a muddy pool where a roadside ditch widened around a telephone pole.
Description: Large herb to 3 feet wide and 2 feet tall. At the water's edge; roots submerged. Petioles spongy. Fruit stalks flop down and fruit is held just under water. Sheet 1 of 2: leaf.
Reproductive Condition: sterile
