Rocky ridge. Growing in bare, rocky areas along ridge.
Several wiry stems from a basal rosette of narrowly oblanceolate leaves. Fruiting stems <20 cm tall with curving, reflexed pedicels and fruits. Fruits obscurely veined wih very short style; glabrous. Basal leaves with ~sparse, simple and 2-3-forked hairs. Longer haris on margin than surface of leaves. Lower stems very sparsely pubescent and cauline leaves sparsely pubescent to glabrous. Seeds uniserate. Only patch of fruiting plants seen on ridge. This may be too high elevation for this species (could possibly be B. gunnisoniana)?
