Habitat: Local in peaty sands of open depression pond (Sea Pond); in boggy place, now more or less desiccated owing to prolonged drought, dominated now-sere Nelumbo lutea.
Associated Species: Also present were Eleocharis acicularis, Lindernia anagallidea, Polggonum nydropiperoides, Rotala ramosior, and Sagittaria graminea.
Description: Past anthesis. Achenes reddish brown. Herbage dull green.
