Locality:
United States, Virginia, Accomack, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge / Assateague Island, east of the town of Chincoteague. In Farm Fields waterfowl impoundment, in central part of the refuge, 1.2 mi. SSW of Bowl Beach.
Habitat:
Wet peat and shallow water. Common with Paspalum distichum and Leptochloa fascicularis.
